Project location: Throughout Kyrgyzstan Implementation period: 2025
In 2025, EZ Solutions continued to administer the Applied Epidemiology program in Kyrgyzstan under a long-term contract with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). EZS organized several routine studies and investigations of infectious disease outbreaks as part of the program in the cities of Naryn, Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Bishkek, and continued to train the program’s residents.
EZS’s work included:
- Logistical support for medical professionals—program residents (veterinarians, public health specialists, and an epidemiologist)—as part of their practical training
- Organizing and administering rapid response teams for outbreaks of highly dangerous diseases throughout Kyrgyzstan
- Organizing and conducting educational seminars and training sessions; preparing and supporting participants at international symposia and conferences
- Procuring and maintaining the necessary technical equipment, consumables, and medical supplies for the program.
